Voluntourism Africa – Expert Help

Hello!

Work with lions - lose up!Welcome to Your African Adventure.com, a blog set up to look at the opportunities for individuals to volunteer in Africa and to help teachers who are looking to arrange educational trips to this magnificent continent.

We’ll show you exactly what you need to do and how to do it. Information on visas, jabs, insurance, travel options…

It’s not like going to Disneyland after all, this is for real!

It’s a fascinating and exciting area. You might want to help with lion rehabilitation, or orphaned elephants. You might be a teaching or medical student who wants to help with local children. You might be a gap year student who just wants to experience life at its most vibrant and get your hands dirty helping put up much-needed school buildings.

Alternatively, if you are a teacher who realises the educational benefits of an African experience, you’ll be pleased to find it’s an area in which we have unrivaled abilities.

Helping children in BotswanaWhatever reason you have for travel to Africa, we’re here to help. There are many African volunteer and group experiences detailed on these pages but we want to give you more than that. We want to help you get where you want to go. We’ve been doing this a while and we want to pass on our experience.

So if you’ve got a question, please ask! Just post a comment and we’ll get back to you as quickly as we can.

We’d like to hear from you if you’ve got experiences to share too. Let’s make this a blog that will be useful to everyone who is looking at volunteering in Africa – regardless of specific area – or anyone in education who needs to reassure parents or governors. We know what you’re going through there!

We’ll be adding lots of useful information so if you’d like the convenience of being kept up to date via email, let us have your details in the boxes top left and we’ll send you our occasional free newsletter. No spam, promise!

Alternatively you might want to subscribe to our rss feed. That’s over on the left too.

OK, I think that will do for the introduction, more soon!
